This is an older piece of art for you I have been so busy, and this is all that I can offer as an apology. Comics will resume December 29.
Below, you will all find my plan for 2015, including some tentative convention visits, the new button design (for January-June), and some rough outlines of things to come in the comics. I'll put an additional page break so that you can see these designs without having the story spoiled if you want to be surprised.
Anime Detour in Minnesota is a convention that my brother always goes to. In 2015, I would like to join him. I plan to talk to other artists, get ideas, and spread my own comics through word of mouth. Since it is in March, I may have the first book of Seven Siens completed, but I will not be able to afford a booth at this time. However, it may be possible to carry some copies and hand them out. I will definitely be bringing buttons.
The future of...
With the exception of the two weeks flanking Anime Detour and the month of December, I plan to be able to post two pages a week for a total of about 90 pages this year. The very next page will be posted December 29.
As Aidan continues his visit in Vorran's castle, Perfection, he soon learns that his presence is not as a simple dignitary at all, but as a peace offering and a key part of a pending treaty. Book one ends soon after. Book two opens with Aidan contemplating his escape, but he becomes distracted by his favorite pastime when he hears someone playing music. The source is a mute girl who immediately earns his sympathies for several reasons The book ends when the two are called to another room by Vorran. Book three follows immediately when Vorran reveals the identity of the girl. Aidan, in a change of mind, decides to stay and investigate the girl rather than continue to reject the circumstances of his visit. In book four, Aidan confesses to Liam that he had hoped to be allowed to marry Sheba, a dragon he grew up with. Liam tries to convince Aidan that it is better that he forget about her, to which Aidan admits that his compliance is a sham to find out more about the mute girl.
Unlike Seven Siens, I will only be able to post about 50 pages of this story, with the first being available December 30.
Book one resumes with Kay receiving an angry call from his mother regarding his personal health, which he instantly mutes before driving to his university. In his first class, he meets Nina and Edward, two people who becoming increasingly important as the story progresses. Book two shifts over to Lee while he is at work. While there is utterly no action here, it is designed to be an expository piece. The neatest thing to see is Mercury when he drops in at lunch break, but, even then, the script is exposition heavy. I recommend reading, but not buying, this issue if it ever comes out in print. Book three returns to Kay as he begins his final class of the day, Military Tactics: God-Blessed. He quickly recognizes another student in the class, Ezekiel, and both volunteer to participate head-to-head in the first mock fight of the year. When things spiral out of control, the two boys are reprimanded for their behavior.
Like Hallowed Ground, I will only be able to post about 50 pages of this story, starting January 1.
The story picks up where it left off as Kaylie, Winter, Mark, and Ambrose arrive at University. Kaylie and Mark go to class, but Kaylie is immediately grilled by new classmates Jack and Lillian. Before the lecture starts, Kaylie promises to look into an elite fraternity at the school. Book two moves away from Kaylie to follow Eddie's day at work. On top of her normal duties curating at the museum, one of her field teams continuously contacts her with unnecessary updates and her long-time friend refuses to stop calling about a recent break-up. With everything going on, it's no surprise that something goes missing. However, book three cuts back to Kaylie as she waits for the bus home with Winter. Another student, Tiago, approaches the duo and flirts with Kaylie, convincing her to look into a second campus fraternity.
